Explore a position, one decision at a time
Load a FEN for one position, paste a PGN for a game, or play moves on the board. Select any move in the move list to return to it. Playing another move from an earlier position creates a variation; the original continuation stays available.
Compare the engine’s ideas
Press Find next move for a short analysis. The analysis board can show up to three candidate lines. Scores always use White’s perspective: positive favors White, negative favors Black. Quick uses a 1.5-second search; Deep uses five seconds. The depth reached depends on your device.
After the first search, the suggestion can update whenever you move a piece. The tool does not play engine moves for you. Turn off the update checkbox to calculate independently.
Save your study
Download PGN to preserve the moves and variations. Imported comments and annotations are not retained. Share position creates a link to the selected FEN, not the whole move tree. Use the game review tool for an evaluation graph of a complete main line.
